Scholarships

California Institute of Science offers a variety of scholarships and fellowships designed to help you and your family pay for university. Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid. 

Scholarships Sources

President Scholarship

The President Scholarships covers 20% of tuition (The tuition cannot exceed 3 classes per quarter and 3 quarters per year for undergraduate program and 2 classes per quarter and 3 quarters per year) ONLY, other fees such as registration and technology fees, etc. are not included in the tuition price.

Eligibility:

  • Must have completed high school with a 3.90/4.0 GPA for undergraduate program applicant
  • Must have completed undergraduate degree with a 3.90/4.0 GPA for graduate program applicant

* Limited to one student per degree program per year.

Dean’s Scholarship

The Dean’s Scholarships covers 15% of tuition (The tuition cannot exceed 3 classes per quarter and 3 quarters per year for undergraduate program and 2 classes per quarter and 3 quarters per year) ONLY, other fees such as registration and technology fees, etc. are not included in the tuition price.

Eligibility:

  • Must have completed high school with a 3.8/4.0 GPA for undergraduate program applicant
  • Must have completed undergraduate degree with a 3.8/4.0 GPA for graduate program applicant

* Limited to one student per degree program per year.

Application Requirements

  • Student must maintain as same as GPA with eligibility for each scholarship for all 3 quarters
  • Student must not violate any policies while attending CIS
  • Complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form within the deadline period
  • Submit Letter of Recommendations from a Supervisor or a previous Professor
  • Submit personal essay
